Trying to help out . . .

I am trying to post on blogger without using their new format. I think I've done it but I may have to go to the new format whether I like it or not by the end of the month!

It’s been a long time. . .

I was afraid that I wouldn’t be able to get into my Qu’que chose blog because I haven’t posted in quite some time although I thought I was going to quit FaceBook and stick to my blog. Well it’s pretty obvious that I didn’t do what I really should have done! I’m still a pain in the derrière because I like to post my photos on FaceBook and see what my former students and old friends are up to so I don’t quit FB. I consider that weak of me but I guess I am addicted. Well at least I can still get to my Qu’que chose so that’s a plus!

I finally did it and I can’t stop crying . . .

In 2010 I bought Valley of Death by Ted Morgan to give to the love of my life who had spent his year in the Hell of Vietnam. He has always read pretty much all there is available about the US War in Vietnam. He never really speaks about his time in Vietnam, all of 1966. He suggested that I read the Valley Of Death if I wanted to understand the Vietnam War. Well it took me 10 years to get up the courage to read this book. It is the history of the French battle at Dien Bien Phu in 1954 which led the United States into the Vietnam War. I am so heart broken over this history and it did not cover the years of the United States involvement in Vietnam! My God, man will never improve. I do believe that man will never change and can only pray that I am wrong and that there will be peace in some world, some where, some day.

My little frog . . .

This little guy was hanging around the flower pots on the back porch. I had moved the pots to protect them from the weather that came blowing in Friday night into Saturday morning.
