'Tis a mite cold out there! Just came back from the bank and decided to choose some gourds to give to my sister-in-law in Southbridge, MA. Wow, I went out with a sweater and I'm frozen. I guess 47 degrees means I should wear a jacket too. C'est la vie. Making lousy choices.
The 150 Celebration of All Hallows Parish went well yesterday. The church looked beautiful, but not quite 2/3 full. The bishop came and I must say he didn't impress me at all. The nicest thing was that Father Ashe was there and the people gave him a generous, heartfelt ovation. I tried to see him after the services but they were whisked away to the basement where there was a catered lunch for those with tickets. I didn't have a ticket so I didn't crash the party. I'll probably send him a little note just to say hello and thank him again for the time he was in Moosup. The brochure they put out was terrible but the DVD is pretty good with pictures of the church at different phases and the pictures of the 16 pastors that have served here. They used some of the photos I gave them so I'll have to see about getting them back some time soon before they get lost.
