Onward . . .

Skagway

Well the world is a teensy, weensy, tiny, little bit better after yesterday. A few conservative wins make for easier political reading! Plainfield didn't even give the other guy half a chance. Good on them!

Got the asparagus cleared out and Puppy's Pop made a dump trip today. Wow, how do we ever accumulate so much yucky stuff? He figures we'll have another run soon. We get 18 free dump runs a year. Not too bad. They take absolutely everything! The only garden stuff left to do will be cutting back the raspberries. They're still producing some nice, big, deep, red berries even though we've had many frosty mornings. I'll have to wait until Thanksgiving probably and it'll be cold as heck! Also got the dahlia toes into the basement to stay dry and cool for the winter. What a lot of toes I have. I'll have to start giving some away The flowers have been beautiful.

'Twas clear and brisk walking today. The milk weed pods are dried up and the wind was blowing those gossamer angel winged seeds all over hell and damnation! I do enjoy being with Grampa when he's flying and I'm just walking in circles enjoying my flights of fancy.

Friends just stopped in and we've made a date to go to Marchetti's, Italian Restorante par excellence, on Saturday evening. They'll do the driving as they know their way around Rhode Island so well.
